The climate of the city, being in the tropical zone, and near the Arabian Sea, may be broadly classified into two main seasons - the humid season and the dry season. The humid season, between March and October, is characterised by high humidity and temperatures of over 30 °C (86 °F).

The monsoon rains lash the city during the monsoon season (June to September), and supply most of the city’s annual rainfall of 2,200 mm (85 in). The maximum annual rainfall ever recorded was 3,452 mm (135.89 in) in 1954[4]. The highest rainfall recorded in a single day was 944 mm (37.16 in) on 2005-07-26.

The dry season, between November and February, is characterised by moderate levels of humidity and warm to cool weather. Cold northerly winds are responsible for a mild chill during January and February. Annual temperatures range from a high of 38 °C (100 °F) to a low of 11 °C (52 °F). The record high is 43 °C (108 °F) and record low is 7.4 °C (45 °F) on 1962-01-22.

Agra’s climate is tropical and prone to extremes, reaching as high as 45ºC (113ºF) during the summer and as low as 4ºC (40ºF) in the winter. The rainy season is between June and September and the city receives annual rainfall of 660 millimeters (26 inches).

The weather and climate of Agra is extreme and tropical. In Agra and surrounding areas, summers are extremely hot and the maximum temperature goes as high as 45º Celsius, while the weather during winter remains cold and foggy at times. During the Monsoon season, Agra city receives heavy rains and the weather becomes hot and humid.

The climate of the district is dry and healthy and is subject to extremities of cold and heat during winter and summer respectively, due to proximity to the Thar Desert. The minimum and maximum temperatures recorded in the district varies from 8 to 48 degrees Celsius. Normal annual rainfall is 556 mm.

The summer period in Jaipur is between April and July, and the temperature can reach up to a maximum of 45ºC (113ºF). During the winter, daytime is sunny, cool and pleasant although the night can be bitterly cold with the temperature reaching as low as 5ºC (41ºF).

Jaipur also experiences foggy evenings during the winter months, which may cause some problems for travelling. The city experiences an annual rainfall of about 556 millimetres and the monsoon period (from July to August) brings most of the rain. During the post-monsoon season, Jaipur experiences another hot spell.
